SYFT

Branding | Interface Design | Prototyping | AI Models

SYFT is an AI-powered fashion recommendation platform delivered through a Chrome extension. Starting with a quiz, SYFT helps users find exactly what they’re looking for quickly and easily.

As one of the two UX/UI Design Interns, I am currently helping bring this idea from Beta to full release in 2025, and learning design systems and working directly with the Design Systems Lead at J.P Morgan.

This project is ongoing

Key Deliverables

We were tasked with making 10 graphics each that “captured the essence of SYFT.” We were told to explore type, colors, but to be able to back up every design choice with reason.

From there, I created a visual matrix of 36 possible logos and 6 possible color palettes.

From SYFT, I felt some desktop aesthetics (light blue, folders, scrapbook style). But I also felt deep reds, classy prints, and texture.

Doing ten really pushed me to think beyond what I saw. Playing around with typography was my favorite!

Visual Brainstorming

SYFT was in need of a branding update, and I was in charge of brainstorming ideas! I created a collection of 36 logos and five different color palettes to offer a broad assortment for the owner of SYFT to choose from. This helped me continue to get closer with the brand, it's personality, and the feeling it is meant to evoke.

The end  result will directly effect the UI.

Branding Brainstorming

On FigJam, we each mapped the current user flow, as well as creating an empathy map of users to get an idea of what they want, what they experience, and how SYFT can fit into everyday life.

Our findings:

  • The quiz was overwhelming

  • The size and location of the extension could be updated to feel more cohesive (rather than a pop up, we researched how to make it a persisting sidebar)

  • The pop up would not persist when a user tapped anywhere else on the screen

  • A "saved items" could be added

User Flows

I assembled core brand assets like logos, colors, templates, and imagery into an organized kit, then documented rules for their consistent application across decks and social media. Typography, color usage, and imagery were all meant to support storytelling while maintaining SYFT’s confident yet approachable personality.

To create the brand guidelines, I followed a design systems structure. I studied layout systems like the box method, standards for text and button sizing (like everything being a multiple of four), and auto layout in Figma. This was key when starting the next part: wireframing a new part of the extension.

Brand Guidelines

This is the "in progress part." Next, I will be working on really thinking and acting like a design systems designer. I'm excited to explore the intricacies in how design systems function in a professional setting.

I am so lucky to be able to have this guidance and experience to bring with me when I graduate.

I plan on using Figma, not just as a student but as a professional, to create a product card for the SYFT extension.

Stay tuned!
